Selected firefighters for this research would be given a access code to sign in.
It should be noted that firefighters would NOT be required to enter their name, address, telephone number for Firefighter Cancer Tools.
Two parts of register include:
1. Profile information
Age, gender, location, type of firefighter, fire expsoure history, smoking history
2. Cancer Survey
knowledge of firefighter cancer risks, prevention, signs, screening available
NOTE:
The actual Canadian Firefighter Cancer Naviagtor (FFCN) research web site access would be limited to up to 5,000 Canadian firefighters selected across the country that would incldue full-time, volunteer, rural, urban, Ingenuious, miltary, wildland firefighters.
Selected Canadian firefighters would be given a code to access the website to 1) register and 2) access the site.
Firefighters would then be able to download either an Android or iPhone FFCN app to their phone.
This is a early view of the Firefighter Cancer Navigator which WILL change over time.
